Major John W. Spencer is a retired U.S. Army officer renowned for his expertise in urban warfare. He currently serves as the Chair of Urban Warfare Studies at the Modern War Institute (MWI) at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and co-directs its Urban Warfare Project.
